Set Construction, Day #10,895

Slow and steady wins the race. It also builds a spaceship. Here are more pictures to prove that we haven't just been sitting on our asses for the past three months. Sometimes we've been standing on our asses. Wrap your minds around that one.
Here Tyler shows a stubborn wall what's what.

Our new and improved hi-tech spaceship console.

Matt further demonstrates the sexiness of the sex drive bed.

Fine tuning the lights.

Matt doing a little star gazing. Get back to work you lazy ass!

We are almost there folks. The set is nearing completion, and I feel like we're very close to finding our Wallie Audio. Maybe we'll be ready to shoot in time for the one year anniversary of our first blog post. Wouldn't that be a treat!

Beyond FIS

Just a little promo for a spinoff series that we're doing. This just goes to show how awesome FIS is - it hasn't even aired yet and it already has a spinoff. Prepare yourselves.

Set Construction, Day #5387

No rehearsal this weekend (sob), but we did some exciting work on the set. Here we can see a photo of Matt vigorously painting a wooden panel! Hurry Matt! The faster you paint that panel, the sooner we'll be able to shoot the pilot episode!

Here's a picture of me testing out the potential sexiness of the sex-drive bed. Yep, pretty sexy.

In addition to various rotating and sliding panels, the sex-drive also features a sophisticated rear projection system. Here Matt demonstrates the power of the system with his trademark soul piercing gaze.

Set Construction Day #1032

Last weekend, Ryan and I did some work on the set. We painted orange stripes on all of the walls to add a little flair. We also built a big port hole.

Note: You can see my neighbor's laundry on top of the dryer.

Here's a little port hole we made. We need to add some trim around the edge. Those ghostly balls of light are actually lighting sconces we built into the wall. I almost killed Ryan plugging one of them in. You'll notice the trim hanging between each wall--we made that to try and cover any gaps between the walls. That piece right there looks a little wonky but otherwise I like 'em.

This coming weekend we'll be working on more consoles and beginning the sex drive bed. We'll post more pictures too.
